Councillor Rose Bailey

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Cllr Rose Bailey, who passed away on Monday 12th July 2010.

Tribute from Councillor Bill Weightman , Chairman of the Authority:

"Rose has been a long standing Member of the Police Authority and has played a vital role as Chair of the Community Partnership Committee in linking Merseyside Police with the wider communities of Merseyside.

She has always carried out her role in a non-political way reflecting the nature of Merseyside Police Authority and has ensured that she has been inclusive in her representation of communities across the whole of Merseyside.

Rose's commitment, dedication and personality will be a dreadful loss to this Authority and to me personally as she has always given me the greatest support during some challenging times

She will be greatly missed by Members and staff of the Authority with whom she has always had a trusting and positive relationship.

She is going to leave a gap in all our professional and personal lives that will be incredibly difficult to fill.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this very sad time"
