People Development Plan

People development is far reaching not only in respect of the wide spectrum of areas it specifically covers but also in the influence, impact and value it brings to almost all aspects of policing activity and service delivery.

Chief Constables are required to produce annual People Development Plans, agreed with their Police Authorities. This People Development Plan is designed to meet this remit and to set out the people priorities that the Force will focus on in order to meet operational needs and enhance delivery.

The plan follows APA guidance under 'People Matters'. Additional tailoring has ensured that local issues are addressed, meeting the Force policing philosophy and organisational objectives. Please see the link below to view this year's plan:
