Older People

This year, 48% of people who spoke to us at one of our forums or events were 60 or over. We are extremely grateful that so many older people make the effort to come out and consult with the police authority on a regular basis. We want to make sure that we continue to build on this result so that older people feel listened to and supported by the police authority.

What have we done?

Whilst we try to make sure all of our consultation is open to everyone by choosing accessible venues and varying the times events are held, we also consult specifically with older people. Authority members and local police officers have attended meetings held by Merseyside Pensioners Federation in order to gain their views on policing and answer any questions they may have.
